We
grow bigger by getting smaller!
This
may seem a strange statement but over recent years
we have discovered that this is true. By encouraging
people to meet in smaller groups out with our
Sunday worship we have seen new believers grow
dramatically in their faith and develop stronger
bonds and relationships within the Body of Christ.
As we grow in number, the vision of the leadership
is to see more groups forming. They may have different
formats meeting at different times and in different
places, but the aim is to unite them with the
same goals.
The
rationale for small group ministry is shown below:
The
Small Group Vision
- A
place where every member is welcomed and feels
a sense of belonging.
- A
place where prayer and bible study are practised.
- A
place where people are pastored and mentored.
- A
place to give and receive inspiration and encouragement.
- A
place where needs are recognised and burdens
are borne.
- A
place where victories are celebrated.
- A
place where opportunities to serve are offered.
- A
place where the group members are accountable
to each other.
- A
place where spiritual gifts are nurtured.
